Chris Carroll:

Lead Guitars, Backing Vocals, Songwriter

Chris has been playing guitar for over 20 years. Getting his first taste of playing guitar at a young age through many influences from Eddie Van Halen to Stevie Ray Vaughn, picking up a guitar came as natural as waking up in the morning.

"...I have always been more interested in making up my own songs rather than trying to copy songs that have already been written..."

Chris does most of the songwriting in the band. Usually starting from just a guitar riff, then adding layers of rhythm, lyric and melody until the song is complete. In his playing, technical ability is evident, but even more impressive is his ability to instinctively achieve just the right mix of blues and feeling with blistering ergency. Usually opting for the blues run up the fingerboard over the neoclassical scale, he always writes what is best for the song and not necessarily what will show of his talents more.

"...The guitar solo is always the last thing that I write in a song...I might play it diffrent dozens of times, then I will listen back to them and pick the parts that seem to work the best. After that I arrange those parts into the solo and learn it just like the rest of the song. A guitar solo is like a song within a song. I like to try to play it so people will be able to recognize it every time, but still leave some room to keep it fresh..."
